4. Critical Installation & Maintenance Protocol
Case Priming (Mandatory): Before starting the engine, you must fill the pump housing with clean hydraulic oil through the highest case drain port. Running a piston pump "dry" will cause catastrophic failure of the piston shoes within seconds.
System Decontamination: If the previous pump failed mechanically (metal shavings in oil), you must flush the hydraulic tank, lines, and oil cooler. Residual debris is the leading cause of failure in replacement pumps.
Filter Service: Always install a new high-efficiency suction strainer and return filter. Use ISO VG46 anti-wear hydraulic oil.
