Purchased a used machine on a platform in Europe. This year has been nothing but trouble. Firstly, it is extremely difficult to start in severe frost. It was heavily used before being sold, and it shows - it gradually falls apart. Repairs are not cheap. These are the main drawbacks. On the positive side, it has good productivity.

Bought in Poland with almost 8000 working hours. Overall, it seems to be working fine, but there is a strong vibration at idle, which is quite bothersome.

I gave the Komatsu PC40 a go for excavation tasks. Controls are straightforward; didn’t take long to get familiar. Found the seating position decent but could use better cushioning; long days get noticeable. Price was within reasonable bounds for what it delivers. Didn’t face any machine breakdowns even under stress, so reliability gets a thumbs up. Maintenance seemed par for the course - accessible enough without too much fuss. It’s functional, just some personal tweaks I’d say would make it more user-friendly.

I can only say one thing about the Mecalac - the machine looks good and is well-maintained by the owner. Our team had the task of digging a pond, and we rented the 10 MSX for a week. It turned out to be beneficial and quick.

Gmk is a reliable and good German machine. If compared to domestic fleets, it definitely outshines them both in handling heavy loads and during the cold season. It doesn't leak hydraulics, which is a common issue in other machines. While it may be expensive to maintain, German machines are generally not cheap, but they also rarely break down. This is also important to consider when assessing the longevity of a crane, like the Gmk, which has been in operation for 30 years.

Recently I sold the Kubota KX 91 mini excavator and I want to share my impressions of its performance. Overall, I have positive impressions of this machine. Truck crane Tadano ATF 600G-8

I had to test the ATF 600G-8 mobile crane. I was impressed by the length of its boom, which can be adjusted up to 90 meters. The power of one engine is 626 horsepower, while the other is 354 horsepower. Both engines are from Mercedes. The machine also has a good lifting capacity of 600 tons. However, for business purposes in our reality, it doesn't make sense to buy such a giant. It may not pay off.

Truck crane Terex RC40

4.0 Price
3.0 Reliability
4.0 Maintenance
4.0 Operation
4.0 Convenience
If you are looking for a mobile crane to work in urban conditions, Terex RC40 is a decent option. Our company has 2 of these machines in our fleet. We rent them out. In one of them, there were problems with the levers after 2 years. We fixed them ourselves because we have a repair workshop and experienced mechanics. Since the cranes themselves are Chinese, their maintenance is not as costly as American or European ones. We had a major repair only once. We had a minor issue in operation, but it had nothing to do with the crane's quality. The most important thing is to have a skilled operator.

Construction loader Caterpillar 950G
2002 Year

3.0 Reliability
3.0 Maintenance
4.0 Operation
4.0 Convenience
Having recently used the Caterpillar 950G for snow removal tasks, I can say this loader holds up well, considering its age. Operating the controls felt intuitive, and the cab provides sufficient comfort for longer shifts. However, the rust in certain areas could be concerning for future maintenance needs, and the slow tire air loss required periodic attention. Performance-wise, it accomplishes the task efficiently, particularly with the push box setup.
