The EC-40 tray filler is a machine for filling trays or carrier trays with pots that are flat on the upper side of the tray. The tray filler has a soil hopper, a soil elevator, a filling head with a rotor, and a belt for the transport of the trays through the machine.
The soil hopper has a conveyor belt at the bottom of the hopper which transports the soil to the elevator. The elevator elevates the soil up to the filling head. The soil is put in the filling head where it will be divided over the tray by means of a rotor. The tray is put on the belt of the tray filler by hand or by means of a destacker in front of the tray filler. The conveyor belt of the tray filler transports the tray under the filling head. The conveyor belt has a grip surface so the trays will be transported during filling. After filling, the press will press the soil deeper into the tray
A couple of things are adjustable for working with other tray sizes or with another result of filling (higher/lower density).
- The side guides of the tray filler can be adjusted for working with a tray with another width
- The height of the filling head can be adjusted, for working with trays with another height
- The height of the rotor in the filling head can be adjusted
- Electrical requirements: 400 Volt 3 phase 50 Hz +earth
- Capacity: Between 300-500 trays per hour. A definite capacity can be given when all the parameters are known. Such as: tray size, amount of cells, length of the tray, total volume and density of filling.

Der EC-40 Trayfüller ist eine Maschine zum Befüllen von Trays oder Tragetabletts mit Töpfen, die an der Oberseite des Trays flach sind. Der Trayfüller besteht aus einem Bodentrichter, einem Bodenelevator, einem Füllkopf mit einem Rotor und einem Band für den Transport der Trays durch die Maschine.
Der Erdtrichter hat ein Förderband am Boden des Trichters, das die Erde zum Elevator transportiert. Der Elevator hebt die Erde bis zum Füllkopf an. Die Erde wird in den Einfüllkopf gegeben, wo sie mit Hilfe eines Rotors auf die Schale verteilt wird. Das Tray wird von Hand oder mit Hilfe eines Entstaplers vor dem Trayfüller auf das Band des Trayfüllers gelegt. Das Förderband des Trayfüllers transportiert das Tray unter den Füllkopf. Das Förderband hat eine Greiffläche, damit die Schalen während des Befüllens transportiert werden. Nach dem Befüllen drückt die Presse die Erde tiefer in die Schale.
Um mit anderen Schalengrößen oder mit einem anderen Befüllungsergebnis (höhere/niedrigere Dichte) arbeiten zu können, sind einige Dinge einstellbar.

De EC-40 trayvuller is een machine voor het vullen van trays of draagtrays met potten die plat zijn aan de bovenkant van de tray. De trayvuller bestaat uit een grondtrechter, een grondelevator, een vulkop met een rotor en een transportband om de trays door de machine te transporteren.
De vultrechter heeft een transportband onderaan de trechter die de grond naar de elevator transporteert. De elevator brengt de grond omhoog naar de vulkop. De grond wordt in de vulkop gebracht, waar het door middel van een rotor over de tray wordt verdeeld. De tray wordt met de hand of met behulp van een ontstapelaar voor de trayvuller op de band van de trayvuller gezet. De transportband van de trayvuller transporteert de tray onder de vulkop.
